A 68,072sq ft warehouse is to be built in Bexley as demand for near-urban logistics floorspace grows.
Planning has been granted by Bexley Council for the £15 million development at Axion Park,Belvedere, South East London. The 68,072sq ft warehouse will be developed by Wrenbridge and Buccleuch Property. Glenny LLP and CBRE are advising.
The Grade A warehouse is located at the entrance to one of South East London’s most established industrial locations, ideal for both regional and urban distribution.
Neighbours include Amazon, Ocado, Asda, Tesco and Lidl.
Neil Finnie of Buccleuch Property, said: “Delivery of the building will help address an acute shortage of high quality industrial accommodation in the area.”
Works on the warehouse site are due to commence in September, with completion expected in spring 2018.
The unit will offer two dock level loading doors; three surface level loading doors; high quality air conditioned office accommodation; 43 car parking spaces; 10m eaves height and 50 N/m2 floor loading. Designed to a minimum of BREEAM Very Good it will also include roof-mounted photovoltaics and PIR controlled low-energy internal lighting with 40% of all power requirements being met from renewable sources.
