Garçon Wines & Best Food Logistics lined up for SHD Logistics Conference

Garçon Wines & Best Food Logistics lined up for SHD Logistics Conference

The first two speakers at the SHD Logistics Spring Conference have been announced. Taking place in London on 19th May, the Conference will feature a broad line-up of speakers from across the industry, several of whom have been persuaded to share their stories publicly for the first time.

Following its turnaround from a loss-making business operated by Bidvest to a now-profitable standalone business unit recently acquired by Tesco subsidiary Booker Group, Best Food Logistics is an example of how a strong leadership team innovating with simple technology that utilises Big Data can help deliver exceptional customer service and profitable growth. Its managing director, Paul Whyte, who took on this daunting task in 2017 and is now leading the transition to a new owner, has a powerful story to tell Conference delegates.

Serial entrepreneur Santiago Navarro, CEO at Garçon Wines, is not only a wine buff, but also has exceptional understanding of the logistics that sit behind the industry. Realising that the traditional glass bottles were unfit for purpose when shipping wines through complex supply chains, he developed game-changing transit packaging that is considerably more cost-effective and eco-friendly for the movement of wine.

United under the title “Transforming Logistics Through Technology”, the SHD Logistics Spring Conference will feature a line-up of speakers with stories and customer case studies that will be relatable to businesses of all sizes. The event will be sponsored by Prologis UK which, as a developer of industrial logistics buildings, has an insightful overview of the technologies its clients are embracing and innovates its offering in order to help those clients develop and grow.
