A 25-acre Leeds site will see four new warehouse units totaling 300,000 sq ft.
Barmston Developments, a joint venture partnership between Wilton Developments and Clugston Estates, has acquired the site on the Wentworth Park Estate, Tankersley, close to junction 36 of the M1 motorway.
The vendor was Gladman Developments, advised by CBRE.
The site has detailed consent for the construction of four units suitable for B1, B2 and B8 industrial/distribution uses totalling some 300,000 sq ft. Units could be up to 100,000 sq ft.
Occupiers within close proximity to the site include Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Distinction Doors Company Shop, ITAB, AECOM, HSBC, McDonalds, Premier Inn, and Pilkington Glass.
Jason Stowe, Director at Barmston Developments, said: “This is the JV’s second new EZ development and we are looking forward to working closely with colleagues at the LEP and Barnsley council to bring forward what is a significant distribution and manufacturing opportunity in the region.”
