Flogas Britain Wins Coveted ‘Star Product’ Award at Speedy Expo 2017

Flogas Britain, one of the UK’s leading LPG suppliers, has scooped the coveted ‘Star Product’ award for its Gaslight cylinders, at this year’s Speedy Expo event.

Developed initially for use in Fork Lift Trucks (FLTs), and made from toughened plastic and fibre glass, the Gaslight cylinders are almost half the weight of traditional LPG cylinders, yet are more robust and can sustain far greater pressures. In addition, their translucent appearance allows far superior fuel visibility.

The Flogas Gaslight cylinders polled the largest number of votes cast by Expo delegates for their favourite products on show at the event, and in winning beat off stiff competition from the likes of Armorgard, Laing Access Platforms, Husqvarna and Gunn JCB.

An annual two-day event, Speedy Expo is the largest private hire show in the UK. It welcomes over 1,500 delegates, brought together to share knowledge, and showcase product innovations and health and safety initiatives. Organisers of the event, Speedy, are the UK’s leading supplier of tools, equipment and plant hire services.

Commenting on the win Flogas National Accounts manager Graham Sargent said: “Gaslight is a truly fantastic product, so we’re thrilled it’s been recognised at such a prestigious event. With manual handling such a hot topic for this audience, it’s clear that the ergonomically designed, lightweight cylinders have struck a chord.”

He concluded: “We look forward to working closely with Speedy to bring Gaslight cylinders to its customers across the country.”
