The entrepreneurial approach to logistics

The entrepreneurial approach to logistics

We are delighted to announce Century Logistics' managing director, Stephen Basey-Fisher, will present a session entitled, 'An entrepreneurial approach to logistics' at the SHD Logistics Spring Conference on the 9th of March 2016 at The British Museum.

Over the last ten years Century Logistics has managed to create service offerings for its customers, which in turn have resulted in profitable growth and long term relationships. The diversity of the services now offered include customer service centres, after sales workshops and online sales of returned stock.

Stephen will share his experiences with delegates, at the upcoming SHD Logistics Spring Conference, on how this has been achieved and the challenges faced. Learning outcomes from the session will include:

- Adding value to logistics contracts
- Identifying and understanding the customer’s needs.
- The challenges faced when diversifying.

Other speakers on the day include:

Professor Neil H. Ashworth, CEO, Collect+ • John Munnelly, Head of Operations, John Lewis • Peter Ward, Chief Executive, UKWA • Alan White, Managing Director, Fresh Logistics • Stephen Basey-Fisher, Managing Director, Century Logistics • Stephen Carr, Head of Commercial Strategy & Planning, Peel Ports •

The event will take place in the Hugh and Catherine Stevenson Lecture Theatre, an elegant auditorium with fixed, tiered seating for delegates with state-of-the-art projection and audio-visual equipment, the ideal setting for this content-rich event.
