ELOKON, the developer and supplier of safety and assistance systems for industrial vehicles, AGVs and cobots, has announced the establishment of its new US subsidiary, ELOKON Inc.. Based in Atlanta, it will be under the direction of Vice President of Sales and Operations Kevin Bradley, whose previous role was as UK Sales Director. With headquarters in Germany and subsidiaries in the U.K. and Poland, ELOKON already supplies its products to customers in some 45 countries around the world. “The opening of our US subsidiary is an integral milestone in the pursuit of our international growth strategy,” said Alexander Glasmacher, Managing Director of the ELOKON Group.
There was also another award for ELOKON to add to its growing collection: as one of the finalists in the Safety Category of the Plant Engineering Product of the Year Award, ELOKON’s ELOshield proximity detection/anti-collision system for forklifts and pedestrians was voted the overall Gold Winner. “ELOshield, which uses UWB wireless technology to prevent vehicle-to-pedestrian and vehicle-to-vehicle collisions, has now won four major awards in North America and Europe,” said Kevin Bradley. “We are very proud to bring such an innovative solution for material handling safety to the workplace. Forklift accidents are unfortunately still far too common, particularly those involving pedestrians. ELOshield’s automated driver-assistance technology warns both drivers and pedestrians in the warehouse when they are in unsafe situations and helps prevent accidents.”
ELOKON’s latest innovations for enhanced safety will be on show at IMHX in September on Stand 6E214. Along with products such as ELOfleet, the first smartphone-based forklift fleet management system, these will also include the company’s new concepts for wearable technology. There will be more information on this in the run up to the show.
