Electric Mini production to go ahead in UK

BMW has confirmed that the production of its new electric Mini will start in Oxford in November.

The news that it won't be moving car production out of the UK due to Brexit uncertainty is a boost to the UK car industry and its supply chain.

Bernd Koerber, senior vice president, MINI said in today's announcement: "Production of the MINI Electric starts in Oxford in November 2019. The first vehicles will then be delivered as early as possible, because one thing is clear: it is about time for electro-mobility in MINI style, don’t you think?"
