Eddie Stobart is to make a second attempt to build a new 630,000 sq ft Warrington distribution hub.
The Cumbria-based haulier’s original plans fort a £75 million development next to their existing 145,000 sq ft depot close to Junction 9 of the M56 were rejected. The local council decided the economic benefits did not outweigh the environmental hard.
The proposals have now been revived for the same site, but with a more active campaign to persuade locals of the £18 million benefits to the local economy.
A Stobart spokesman said there are "significant very special circumstances" that support the development.
