Dürkopp to exhibit at LogiMAT

Dürkopp Fördertechnik – specialist in automated garment handling and sortation and part of the Knapp group, will be exhibiting on the Knapp stand at LogiMAT 2020 (B505, Hall 3).  In addition, the company will also be at IntraLogisteX (Stand 604).

Dürkopp Fördertechnik, was the original inventors of single order sortation for e-commerce, starting with its RFID tracked ‘Adapter’ system which was developed for hanging garment transportation and sortation.

The Dürkopp pocket system – which is ideal for the demands of online retail – is designed to deliver consistently high performance while storing, picking and sorting e-commerce items in the precise sequence required for dispatch.

With the rapid growth of e-commerce, it became clear that a single system would be needed that could transport both hanging garments and flat/boxed goods and sort them into individual customer orders. Using their expertise gained with the Adapter system, the Dürkopp Pocket system was developed and now more than 70 Dürkopp Pocket systems have been sold across the UK, Europe and also the US.

Another advantage of Dürkopp’s technology is that it is modular which enables companies to extend their original installations as their E-Commerce business grows and the balance between retail and online purchases changes.

With a reputation for innovation, Dürkopp’s UK customer portfolio includes names such as ASOS, Sainsbury’s, Debenhams, Net-A-Porter, Next, John Lewis, ASDA, Marks & Spencer and Primark.

Annette Sommer, General Manager of Dürkopp Fördertechnik UK, said: “I look forward to showing visitors why our pocket sorter provides the answer to the sortation challenges being faced by businesses today and why it has been chosen by leading retailers across the UK and mainland Europe.“
