DOMU Brands, the online home and kitchen products business, has taken 110,000 sq ft for its new M62 distribution centre.
The building at Stakehill, Rochdale, is owned by national transport and distribution firm Howard Tenens who undertook a £4m refurbishment of the building earlier in the year.
DOMU Brands, who offer a range of home and kitchen products under the VonHaus and VonShef brands, have committed to 110,000 sq ft initially and have the ability to expand into the entire 170,000 sq ft building in due course.
The deal was brokered by niche industrial and logistics practice BC Real Estate.
Director John Barton said: “For DOMU to commit to a building of this size shows the continuing attraction of Stakehill Industrial Estates as logistics and distribution location. It also shows that undertaking a quality refurbishment is the best option for landlords and the risk Howard Tenens took investing the amount of money they did has certainly paid off”.
