A leading Sheffield logistics firm has become the only depot across a national industry network to win a prestigious award for a fifth consecutive year.
DBL Logistics, based on Tinsley Park Road in Sheffield, was awarded platinum member status at the annual United Pallet Network (UPN) awards, becoming the only member depot among the 90+ businesses included in the network’s portfolio to have retained platinum status every year since the award was first introduced.
DBL also retained its gold member status for the sixth year in a row.
Awards are given for outstanding quality of ongoing work across all sections of the business, including scanning, deliveries, paperwork, ePODs and collections.
David Clarkson, managing director of DBL Logistics, sales director Earl Robinson and Adam Boyd, operations, planning and transport manager, were on hand to collect the accolades at the annual UPN Awards gala dinner.
UPN managing director David Brown said: “We love to see the exemplary work of our members rewarded. For DBL Logistics to have been awarded platinum member status for the fifth consecutive year serves to emphasise the quality of the service they provide for their customers.
“DBL Logistics is a founder member of the UPN Network and continues to act as a great example of the collaborative power of the pallet network system working at its very best.”
Clarkson said: “This latest award comes on the back of the outstanding work of our excellent team here at DBL. We set ourselves incredibly high standards and it’s fantastic to be recognised for the consistently high level of customer service we deliver.
“It’s an exciting time for DBL Logistics – we’ve recently invested in eight new additions to our fleet of HGVs and have several further projects and opportunities for business development in the pipeline.”
