DB Schenker Rail UK is hosting its fourth Intermodal Port Conference on 8th October at the East Midlands Conference Centre and Orchard Hotel in Nottingham.
The highly anticipated event explores key topics in the intermodal supply chain and is attended by industry leaders across the sector.
Last year’s conference provided participants with a unique opportunity to discuss 'The World in 2020' and looked at the challenges that lay ahead for cargo owners, ports, terminals and shipping lines.
The next conference will take the debate a step further and examine how technology is reshaping our supply chain, and how we can use it to better serve our customers.
Steve Pryce, Head of Marketing, at DB Schenker Rail UK, said: “The Intermodal Port Conference is a wonderful opportunity for people across the sector to discuss the issues that provide the greatest opportunities and challenges in our industry.
“We are excited by the range of speakers and delegates attending the event, and are proud that the Intermodal Port Conference has become an essential date in the logistics calendar.
“We need to look at how we continue to develop, grow and live up to our social and environmental responsibilities and this is exactly what our panel debate will discuss at this year’s conference.”
