Construction begins on Swindon speculative warehouse

Construction work is now complete on a 221,320 sq ft speculative warehouse in Swindon.

The facility on the A420, four miles from junction 15 of the M4, is being marketed at a quoting rent of £6.95 by developers DB Symmetry.

In total the 96-acre site has outline planning consent for 1.3 million sq ft of B8 use space with design and build opportunities available.

Tom Watkins, senior surveyor at Colliers International, said: “It is encouraging to see developers commit to speculative development of the highest quality. Its prime location will undoubtedly appeal to the automotive sector locally as well as a wide range of other businesses. With further design and build opportunities available in sizes ranging from 200,000 sq ft up to 1,000,000 sq ft, Symmetry Park, Swindon will quickly become a ‘go to’ logistics hub.”
