CML unveils ecommerce solution for retailers

CML unveils ecommerce solution for retailers

Award-winning customs warehousing and ecommerce logistics provider, Core Management Logistics (CML), has unveiled its new 60,000 square foot three tier mezzanine built in response to the growth in online sales.

The ecommerce solution for retailers is a 60,000 square foot three tier mezzanine which has been built at CML’s Lutterworth warehouse and is in direct response to the growth in online ordering. As the boom in internet sales continues, CML’s capacity needs to grow rapidly in response. For many retailers, fulfilling their online orders and returns has become increasingly complex which is where CML can help by providing a solution for both pick to store or pick to consumer.

This investment in CML’s systems and new technology sees phase one completed at the end of last month, with a further phase planned for next year. On each floor of the 60,000 square foot three tier mezzanine, there is capacity for 18,000 single stock keeping unit (SKU) pick bins and is tailored to each client’s ecommerce requirements.

This investment is, as a direct response, to the increase in online shopping and internet orders and has the capacity to manage 1.5 million orders a year over the three floors. CML is ideally located within the golden triangle on Magna Park in Lutterworth, Leicestershire that borders the M1, M6 and M69, which allows for quick and easy access to the major transport links. This location enables late order cut-off times which maximises online sales opportunities for its customers and retailers.

CML’s commercial director, Kerry Delaney, adds "We are very excited about the addition of our new mezzanine as it enables CML to grow its business and support retailers with the significant increase of ecommerce internet ordering, returns processing and next day delivery."
