CE of FSDF to judge SHD Logistics Awards 2015

Christopher Sturman, chief executive of the United Kingdom Food Storage and Distribution Federation (FSDF), has agreed to judge the SHD Logistics Awards in 2015.

The SHD Logistics team are pleased to announce Christopher Sturman as the latest judge to join the panel of experts who will decide the winners of 2015's SHD Logistics Awards.

His career has spanned forty years in the logistics and transport services industry. He spent his early career with  TDG, NFC/BRC Southern, Ross Youngs and Wincanton, where he gained wide experience of the food supply chain in operational, business development and project management roles. He has enjoyed senior roles as managing director of West Kent Cold Storage and chief executive of Linq Alliance.

Chris also has considerable experience as an independent consultant undertaking high profile assignments across the supply chain and logistics sector in UK, Europe, Central Asia and USA.

Chris is a well known and respected figure in the UK food storage and distribution sector, and for the ten years prior to his appointment as chief executive, he was board member of FSDF. He remains a Council member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK .

The SHD Logistics Awards judges are chosen for their industry expertise, which is put to good use during the judging process, where entries from ten categories are deliberated by our panel of experts.

Awards categories include: Corporate Social Responsibility, Environment/Sustainability, Innovation, Multimodal, New Facility, Operations Large, Operations SME,Retrun On Investment, Safety and Warehouse Efficiency.
