A German car parts firm is pressing on with a Midlands warehouse, despite the Brexit vote.
Construction work on 225,000 sq ft Chesterfield warehouse has begun.The distribution centre will be occupied by German car part business Ferdidand Bilstein, who signed up for the unit at Markham Vale business park in April.
The firm works with motor manufacturers including Land Rover Ford, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. It will relocate from Yorkshire and Kent.This is the first deal on Markham Vale North part of the site, where a further 55 acres are available for development. The entire site totals 200 acres. A 35 acre slice has been designated as an Enterprise Zone, offering enhanced capital allowances to occupiers.
The developers are Derbyshire County Council and Henry Boot. Other at Markham Vale include Great Bear, Andrew Page, and Holdsworth Foods.
