An Oxfordshire bakery supplier has signed up for am 80,000 sq ft warehouse, launching a 36-acre M40 warehousing development.
British Bakels is to take 80,000 sq ft on the Link 9 site developed by Alion Land.
The site close to junction 9 of the M40 motorway could see up to 520,000 sq ft of development. Indicative plans suggest three units, the largest of 262,000 sq ft.
Bakels already operates an existing unit in Banbury, which will run in parallel with the new unit.
They are likely to sublet some of the new floorspace in the short term.
Letting agents are Colliers International, VSL & Partners and Brown & Co.
Albion Land is behind a series of Bicester developments including the nearby 50-acre Network Bicester. The site has the potential for up to 800,000 sq ft. The site is 2.5 miles from junction 9, with access via the A41.
