Think Logistics Director Beverley Bell CBE will be speaking at this year’s SHD Logistics Spring Conference, held at London’s British Museum on Tuesday 17th April.
Bell’s speaking session, Bringing in the next generation – creating a brighter future skills programme, seeks to cover what her Think Logistics movement, in conjunction with Government and education providers, is doing to promote the logistics profession so that everyone sees it as an attractive career of choice.
Bell, who also is the vice president of CILT and is a Transport Consultant, will also illustrate how you can help in this vital work to attract the very best to come and work for you.

Having been appointed as the first female Traffic Commissioner for the UK in 2000 and before landing the Senior title in 2012, Bell has extensive experience and knowledge within the supply chain market. in her statuory role as Senior Traffic Commissioner, Bell was given the responsibility to provide guidance and directions on a range of matters to commissioners, in consultation with stakeholders. Despite retiring in May 2017, Bell now undertakes consultancy work providing strategic, governance and compliance reviews.
Bell is a Fellow and Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) UK, having previously served as President. She is Patron of the Society of Operations Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers (IRTE) as well as being a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry, a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Carmen.
She was awarded the CBE in the Queen’s birthday Honours List in 2017 for services to road safety and the freight industry.
