BAE Systems is to take an extra 165,000 sq ft warehouse in Lancashire.
The new warehouse at Samlesbury, part of the Lancashire Enterpsie Zone, will be operated by Wincanton, BAE Systems' logistics contractor.
Cheshire building Pochin's has been awarded a £10.8m contract to develop the site.
The move could kick-start development of the neighbouring airfield site at Samlesbury Aerodrome. The Lancashire Enterprise Zone comprises 353 acres at the BAE Systems sites at Samlesbury and Warton, either side of Preston.
