AO.com, the fast-expanding domestic appliances retailer, is to double its Crewe logistics floorspace taking a second unit of 386,750 sq ft.
The off-market deal with developer Prologis will see AO occupy the entire Crossflow380 building in Crewe.
The firm already occupies a 360,000 sq ft unit in Crewe.
AO has taken a new 10-year lease on Crossflow 380, which is located on Weston Road, provides links to the national motorway network via the nearby Junction 16 of the M6.
Jonathan Atherton, industrial director at Savills, who advised AO, said: “ Crewe has firmly become AO’s logistics base for the UK, offering both connectivity to the M6 and a strong local workforce. Both factors influenced the decision to expand in the town.”
