Amazon Fulfilment Centre General Manager (Warrington) Prajvin Prakash has been confirmed as the afternoon keynote speaker at the SHD Spring Conference, held Tuesday 17 April at London’s British Museum.
His session, entitled the evolving marketplace of customers and new technology, will provide an overview of Amazon’s 20-year history in the UK, the fulfilment centre network and how the latest technology enables Amazon to get vast selection of products to customers quickly and reliably. Amazon Robotics is one of many innovations pioneered by Amazon, helping the online retailer develop into one of the most advanced retail logistics operations in the UK.
Prajvin joined Amazon in 2012 as part of Amazon’s global leadership scheme – the Amazon Pathways programme, working in various locations across the UK and US. Since then he has been involved in the launch of Robotics programmes in fulfilment centres across the UK.
Prior to Amazon, Prajvin worked in the US manufacturing industry where he led large scale lean transformation. He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, and a M.S in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Tech.
Prajvin is hugely passionate about the constantly evolving marketplace and technology advancements especially in logistics and distribution.
Prajvin will co-headline the SHD Logistics Conference, speaking in the afternoon slot, with Ocado’s Head of Autonomous Systems and Robotics Alex Harvey confirmed as the morning keynote.
