Amazon is tipped to take yet another Manchester warehouse. The fast-growing online retailer is understood to be poised to take M&G Real Estate’s 175,000 sq ft warehouse unit at Union Square, Trafford Park, Manchester. The speculative unit is a joint venture with Marshall CDP.
Davies Harrison and B8 Real Estate are the letting agents on the scheme. Neither was available for comment. If confirmed, this is Amazon’s fourth big North West deal. Late last year they signed up for New Capital’s 110,000 sq ft speculative unit, Venus 110 at Knowsley Industrial Estate.
Earlier they took 271,000 sq ft at Manchester’s Airport City in a deal with Stoford and Mountpark, that will see them extend the unit to 654,000 sq ft.
Amazon has also taken 170,000sq ft unit at Lancashire Business Park, Leyland, in a deal with Lancashire County Developments, part of Lancashire County Council.
