Allport takes Bardon warehouse

Allport Cargo Services have signed up for 130,000 sq ft at Bardon, Leicestershire.

In a deal with Australian-owned logistics property giant Goodman, Allport has agreed to occupy a 130,000 sq ft distribution warehouse at its Interlink 130 development situated in Bardon, Leicestershire. The project was developed in partnership with Wilson Bowden Developments.

Allport Cargo Services have agreed a 10-year lease to occupy the recently completed speculative development to fulfil a new contract with a leading retailer.

Interlink Park is a premier logistics and industrial development situated in Bardon, north-west Leicestershire approximately 1.5 miles from Junction 22 of the M1 motorway situated within the distribution “Golden Triangle” bounded by the M1, M6 and M42 motorways.

It is an established and successful location for logistics and home to a number of leading local occupiers including Amazon, Volvo, Antalis, Nissan, Graphic Packaging and Bunzl Healthcare.

The new distribution centre - which was completed in March last year - features 124,611 sq ft of warehouse space together with 6,068 sq ft of offices. It also benefits from 12 dock levellers, two level access doors, 12.5m clear height, 50m yard and parking for 105 cars.

The development enjoys easy access to Coalville, Leicester and Loughborough which provides a large pool of labour. Both East Midlands International and Birmingham International Airports are within easy reach.

Agents on the development were CBRE and Avison Young.
