A 70,000 sq ft unit is expected on the site, promoted by The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Birmingham City Council.
Theey are now seeking a partner to begin speculative development.
Occupiers already at the site include HydraForce Hydraulics who have a 120,000 sq ft (11,148 sq m) European headquarters.
Charlie Spicer, industrial director at Savills and an advisor on the scheme, said: “The launch of this new phase is an exciting step forward for the AMH as it will ultimately lead to the site’s first speculative development.
