The French company has signed up for a 68,000 sq ft warehouse in Snetterton, Norfolk, at the headquarters of Foulger Transport, which is part of Kinaxia Logistics.
In addition to storage of Babymoov stock, Foulger will provide a distribution service across Britain and Ireland via the Kinaxia group’s fleet, the Palletways network and parcel carriers.
Babymoov previously stored all goods for the UK market in France and distributed them directly.
Its award-winning product range includes baby monitors, weaning and feeding accessories, bouncers, swings, sterilisers, new-born comfort products and anti-UV tents.
The brand is better-known for innovative market bestsellers such as the Nutribaby, Cosydream, Swoon Motion Baby Swing and YOO Moov.
Babymoov products are stocked throughout the UK and Ireland by retail chains such as Boots, John Lewis, Smyths Toys, Amazon and JoJo Maman Bébé, as well as specialist independent stores and online retailers.
Simon Winskill, UK business unit director for Babymoov, said: “We are delighted to be working with Foulger and Kinaxia.
“It was imperative for our business to find a professional warehousing and logistics partner to handle Babymoov’s distribution throughout the UK and Ireland, not only to improve our lead times but also to help overcome the new challenges brought about by Brexit.
“I am confident that, with Kinaxia’s strong transport network, we can be more efficient in our operations in order to grow our business to the next level and meet the expectations of our retail stockists and customers.”
Kinaxia has invested in new warehouse technology to fulfil the Babymoov contract.
Vanessa Hope, sales and marketing director at Kinaxia, said: “This is an exciting partnership with a fast-growing, award-winning company and we are thrilled to be selected for a contract which enables Babymoov to establish its UK operations and facilitate its future growth.
“We are delighted to work with Babymoov because we are able to offer not only our core services and expertise in warehousing, e-commerce fulfilment, transport, but also customs clearance for UK imports, export and parcel distribution, business to business and business to consumer.”
Kinaxia comprises 13 freight and logistics businesses across the UK with over 1,600 staff and more than 800 vehicles.
The group, which has its headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire, has two million sq ft of warehouse facilities nationwide, offering contract packing, e-fulfilment, returns management and storage services.
It has seen significant and continued growth over recent years, with annual revenues now approaching £200m.
