Job Description.

Your role as Shipping Coordinator is to provide administrative assistance to the Import Director and monitor consignments from the suppliers.

Client Details

You will be joining a Global business who are niche within their sector, producing high end products across the world they are at the forefront of their industry.


Your role as Shipping Coordinator based in Oldham will be

* To monitor consignments from the suppliers/factories and including:

* Checking supplier documentation invoices/packing lists from factories
* Liaising with suppliers and merchandisers to ensure all correct information is received for processing
* Confirming bookings with freight agents
* Ensuring all internal parties are made aware of and kept up to date with any issues
* Arrange the booking in of goods with the Agents and Powerplay warehouse
* Entering data onto Excel spreadsheets and in house stock systems on a timely basis
* Check on sailing times/ shipping lines using agent contacts, factories and internet and update on internal systems
* Handling inbound sales orders
* Deal with e-mail/telephone customer enquiries on a timely basis
* Input of sales orders onto In-house computer system
* Liaise with warehouse re customer orders

Office hours are 34.5 hours per week (9-5 Mon -thur; 9-4.30 - Friday) with an hour unpaid lunch. These hours can be varied if required.


To be successful with your application for Shipping Coordinator you will have:

* Good communication and organisational skills

* Experience of import administration and good knowledge of import documentation and procedures

* Computer literate - strong Microsoft Office skills, and experience of ERP systems desirable

* Numerate and literate (minimum GCSE level C Maths and English or equivalent)

Job Offer

* Normal office hours are 34.5 hours per week (9-5 Mon -thur; 9-4.30 - Friday) with an hour unpaid lunch. These hours can be varied if required
* We would also consider a shorter working week e.g. to fit in with school hours, but must be in work all 5 days
