With a proven track record of innovation, KNAPP is focused on simplifying warehouse technologies to maximise efficiency, availability and reliability.
"Our market-leading fulfilment, storage and transport systems deliver a competitive edge for clients across the e-commerce, retail, fashion, food, healthcare, wholesale and manufacturing sectors,” says Craig Rollason, Managing Director of KNAPP UK. "Many of our systems combine automation for flat-packed goods with the overhead-conveying technology of KNAPP subsidiary, Dürkopp Fördertechnik."
The OSR Shuttle Evo automated storage system forms the heart of many KNAPP solutions, often in combination with the company's versatile and highly efficient AutoPocket pocket sortation system, which is ideal for handling e-com orders and returns. The shuttle storage technology can be paired with KNAPP's Open Shuttle autonomous mobile robots to form the OSR Shuttle Evo+ solution, with the plus denoting extra flexibility. The freely moving Open Shuttles feature swarm intelligence and link different warehouse areas and processes with the central storage system.
KNAPP’s AI-enabled Pick-it-Easy Robot solution is being deployed worldwide in sectors ranging from healthcare and cosmetics to food, spare parts and retail. The Pick-it-Easy Robot can handle a broad range of items thanks to its artificial intelligence, developed in collaboration with the Californian start-up, Covariant. The software enables the robot to see and grasp almost like a human and to share its learning with other robots around the world.
The KNAPP group has 53 locations, around 5300 employees and more than 2000 active installations worldwide. Customers in the UK include John Lewis, M&S, Boots, Clarks, British Gas, Well, J P Boden, Kuehne + Nagel, Sigma Pharmaceuticals, IKEA and Wincanton. The company is renowned for the strength of its customer service and has no less than 15 resident service sites across the UK.
