James Clark, BITA Secretary-General said: “IMHX 2019 is an unparalleled opportunity to see the newest products and services to enter the market, connect with new and existing suppliers, and stay one step ahead of the trends that are transforming the material handling industry.
“To reflect the importance of the show we will have a strong presence and we will be using the event to showcase the good work that has been conducted by BITA; events such as the inaugural UK National Forklift Safety Day in June and its important message that Seat Belts Save Lives.”
On the theme of improving safety standards within the industry, the exhibition will also coincide with the announcement of the winners of the Design4Safety Awards 2019.
The BITA stand (No: 20C148) at this year’s show has been purpose-designed to facilitate separate meeting areas to allow association members – regardless of size – to meet with their customers, suppliers or other delegates.
Laptop and mobile phone charging points will be available free of charge, as will that all important wi-fi.
There will also be displays of the latest work being carried out by BITA on behalf of its members; campaigns such as National Forklift Safety Day, new safety videos which have been designed to improve the wellbeing of all those working in the industry, new thought leadership, latest Oxford Economics data – which is only available to members, as well as the Design4Safety Awards, which focus on improving safety standards across the industry through the use of pioneering and innovative design.
More than 16,000 visitors packed out halls at the NEC last time around and this year’s show is already an exhibitor sell-out.
“We will be delighted to welcome members and visitors alike to the BITA stand as we want to hear from them about how they are doing and what preparations they are making for the changes Brexit may pose,” added Mr Clark.
IMHX 2019 takes place at the National Exhibition Centre between 24-27th September.
BITA will be present on Stand 20C148.
