The Logistics Awards shines spotlight on the Logistics 100

This year’s The Logistics Awards will, for the first time, honour people from the 2016/17 Logistics 100 by handing out a special Logistics 100 Award.

The Logistics 100, a defined list of 100 of the UK’s top logistics operators, will offer the award to a person who SHD Logistics thinks has made the best impact in the industry over the past 12 months.

SHD Logistics is currently finalising its judging panel for this year’s list, with Transaid CEO Caroline Barker, Worldwide Chain Stores CEO Joshila Makan-Cachero, BITA secretary general James Clark, Doosan UK sales director Paul Watson, BITO Storage Systems managing director Edward Hutchinson and Crown Lift Trucks UK managing director Simon Barkworth already pencilled in as our decision makers.

The judges, tapping into their vast network of industry contacts and experience, will work co-ordinately to decide who is most worthy to enter the list on the basis of key criteria such as operational strength, influence, industry engagement, and vision.

Having listed their own initial recommendations as to who should be included on this year’s list, the judges will go through a two-stage voting process to whittle the shortlist of names, that is also voted by our readers, to a final 100. This prestigious list, ratified by the SHD Logistics editorial team, will be revealed in the SHD Logistics December issue.

There are few tables still available in the industry night of the year, held at the Grange St. Paul’s Hotel in London. For table bookings please contact Christine Attew and Joel Martin, and be prepared for a night of industry celebration and entertainment, including from this year’s awards host Paul Sinha.
